The original SRT contains 25 short cues, including separate date and time expressions. The excerpt preserves the original cue text and timing; combine short cues into readable lines and review kanji readings, names, numbers, and timing in your editor.

Custom captions are generated from the submitted script, not transcribed from the finished audio. Listen to your own result and review pronunciation and timing; edit cue grouping and punctuation in your editor before publishing.

Review Japanese speech before you use it

A written script and the resulting pronunciation answer different questions. Listen to the generated audio and check the text separately.

Check kanji, kana, names, and numbers

Listen for the intended readings of kanji and proper names. Check kana, dates, quantities, and Latin-letter terms against the script; do not assume the written form proves the spoken reading.

Keep the audio and captions paired

Subtitles are generated from the submitted script, while pronunciation is heard in the MP3. If you edit the script and regenerate, download the new audio and subtitle file together. Review line breaks and punctuation in your video editor.

Japanese text-to-speech questions

Preview a fixed sample, generate your own script, and review the resulting files.

Can I preview Japanese voices before generating?

Yes. Play the fixed Japanese samples below to compare the available catalog voices using the same short Japanese text. These previews are fixed samples, not custom generations.

Can I generate Japanese MP3 and subtitles?

Yes. Enter a Japanese script, select a voice, and generate speech. The result includes MP3 audio; you can enable subtitles and choose SRT or WebVTT before generating.

What should I review in Japanese text-to-speech?

Check kanji readings, kana, names, dates, and numbers by listening to the generated audio. Captions follow the submitted script; the subtitle text does not confirm how a kanji or name was pronounced.

Do spoken Japanese and display subtitles need the same wording?

They can serve different purposes. Keep the spoken script and on-screen subtitle text paired with the same generation, then review line breaks, punctuation, names, and numbers in your editor. TTSMint does not provide separate speech and subtitle text inputs.

Does this tool translate English into Japanese?

No. TTSMint reads the target-language text you enter; it does not translate text from English. Enter the Japanese script you want to hear.

Do I need an account to generate my own Japanese audio?

Yes. Custom speech generation and downloads of your generated files require Google or email sign-in. First-time sign-in includes 40 one-time Credits that expire after 30 days; each started 100 characters costs 1 Credit. The fixed sample files below are available without sign-in.
